Kaboul calls on united Pompey
Younes Kaboul says Portsmouth must stay united on and off the pitch as they bid to turn around a torrid start to their Premier League campaign.
Paul Hart's side head into Tuesday's Cup tie against League Two outfit Hereford having lost their opening three top-flight games.
And, with a takeover still hanging in the balance, the Pompey boss is running out of time to strengthen his beleagured squad with the transfer deadline fast approaching.
Despite their dismal start, Portsmouth's players and staff remain committed and determined to change the club's fortunes.
Keen to emphasise the need for all-round support, Kaboul - who scored the only goal in the 4-1 defeat to Arsenal at the weekend - has appealed to the fans to stay patient and get behind their team, insisting the situation will get better.
"We know it will be a hard season for us because we do not have many players, but we have to keep going," he told Portsmouth TV.
"We all have to stay up and need the fans behind us. I hope they understand the situation of the club.
"We are doing what we can with what we have got.
"The fans were massive for us at Arsenal on Saturday - and I have just one message to them: be patient.
"The situation will get better and I hope we will be doing better in the future."
He added: "When you wake up in the morning knowing you have lost 4-1, it is horrible, but we are professionals.
"We just have to keep going and training hard.
"We did the best we could against Arsenal, and are now looking forward to the Carling Cup match."
