Johnson set for one-match ban

Portsmouth right-back Glen Johnson looks set to face no further action for his reaction to being sent off last weekend. The England international reacted angrily after he received a controversial second yellow card in the 0-0 draw at Hull City. Johnson felt aggrieved for an innocuous-looking challenge on Dean Marney but will serve a one-match ban, meaning he will miss Saturday's game versus West Brom. An FA Spokesman said in the Daily Star: "We've not had any report through from the referee about how Johnson left the pitch. "It wasn't mentioned. There is nothing that can be done about yellow cards. "There is no situation where a referee can change his mind about a yellow card if he believes it to be wrong afterwards. It doesn't exist. "Likewise, if he doesn't see something he can't do something about it afterwards. All regulations on bookings are put forward by Fifa, and it is their guidelines we follow."
