Portsmouth goalkeeper David James has reiterated that he would be 'happy' should manager Paul Hart and assistant boss Brian Kidd be handed permanent roles on the South Coast.[LNB] The coaching duo are currently filling caretaker duties at Fratton Park following the dismissal of former boss Tony Adams in February.[LNB]Pompey have lost just two of their 10 games under their guidance and the club appear to have edged their way to safety, as they sit seven points above the drop zone.[LNB]James told Sky Sports News: "Personally, I like them both, a lot. We are returning to what we were doing last season. Last season, Portsmouth was a very nice place to be at.[LNB]Tremendous"If they are going to stay on then I'll be happy. Looking at Paul and Kiddo, they have done tremendously well with the club in the past 10 games.[LNB]"They have helped us get back to being a team that is hard to beat and playing well."[LNB]James also questioned Adams' reign as manager after the former Arsenal captain was shown the door just 16 matches into his tenure.[LNB]The England shot-stopper said: "We were a side that conceded too many goals. We were easy to beat, I think. As far removed from the side that we were the season before.[LNB]Blame"People can always blame the players for not playing right, but if you are giving instructions to people, and you are expected to fulfil those instructions, those instructions have to be right."[LNB]James admits he is 'confident' the club's survival is all-but secure but stressed that they are not mathematically safe.[LNB]He added: "It can happen of course. But it is going to be very difficult for the sides below us to win three out of the four games.[LNB]"We are not out of the woods yet but we have got to be confident."[LNB]
