Irish ace bound for England

Galway United captain Jay O'Shea looks to be on his way to England. The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international is being tracked by a host of clubs, and now he has been told he will not be turning out for the Tribesmen again. He scored the winner against Bray Wanderers in a 2-1 win last Friday and he looks to have signed off in style. Reports from the Emerald Isle claim that Middlesbrough are in pole position to conclude a deal for the winger, who can also play as a striker. But scouts from Portsmouth, Watford and Falkirk have all been checking on him recent weeks, as have Derby, who almost signed the player last summer. "Hopefully my agent will sort something out and hopefully I'll be going to England," O'Shea told The Connacht Sentinel. "He and Nick Leeson [Galway chief executive] have told me it was my last game for the club."
