Hughes missing for Pompey

Portsmouth will again be without Richard Hughes for the visit of Bristol City. The Scotland international serves the second game of a two-match suspension for his sending-off in the Carling Cup defeat to Leicester last week. Fellow midfielder Hayden Mullins will be checked over after hobbling out of Friday night's spectacular 6-1 win over the Foxes. Assuming Mullins is available, boss Steve Cotterill is likely to name the same starting line-up which secured Pompey's first league victory of the season. Defender Hermann Hreidarsson (Achilles), frontman Danny Webber (cruciate), Tom Kilbey (knee) and Billy Goddard (shin) are still on the sidelines. Pompey will leapfrog City in the table if they can secure back-to-back wins.
