Hreidarsson to decide soon

Hermann Hreidarsson has not yet made a decision on whether to sign a new one-year deal with Portsmouth. The out-of-contract defender has been offered another year at Fratton Park, but also has proposals on the table from elsewhere. The Iceland international has recently been linked with Celtic and Rangers and his agent, Olafur Gardarsson, confirmed that his client has received offers from outside England. Although Hreidarsson is still weighing up his options, with former club Ipswich also reportedly showing an interest, he is expected to reach a decision soon. "Hermann has been offered another year with Portsmouth. But he also has many offers from clubs in the Championship, Premier League and also from teams in other countries," Gardarsson told The News. "We are in discussions at the moment, and we are hopeful they will be concluded one way or the other very soon. "We would certainly like it sorted quickly, and I think that will be the case. Hermann is settled in the area and likes it at Portsmouth very much. "He also has a strong relationship with the supporters, which is important to him."
