Portsmouth defender Hermann Hreidarsson would be interested in a move to Rangers, according to the player's agent.[LNB] Hreidarsson is out of contract in the summer and several clubs are believed to be interested in securing the services of the 34-year-old defender, with newly-promoted Wolverhampton Wanderers already linked.[LNB]But having plied his trade in England for the past 12 years, the Icelander's agent has suggested that a move to one of Scotland's premier clubs would be an attractive option for the defender.[LNB]"I know Hermann is one of the options Rangers have looked at," agent Olafur Gardarsson told the Scottish Sun.[LNB]"Hermann likes the idea of playing in Scotland and he would do a good job there.[LNB]"He has played his club football in England for a long time and this would be something new."[LNB]LongevityWith Hreidarsson set to enter the 17th year of his professional career, doubts remain as to whether Rangers would be keen to take on another veteran defender to supplement David Weir and Christian Dailly.[LNB]But Gardarsson insists that his client still has the quality and fitness to perform at the top level for a fair few years yet.[LNB]"I'm not sure what will happen in terms of Hermann's future. Only time will tell," added Gardarsson.[LNB]"He is out of contract in the summer and already a couple of clubs have said they want to get him on board.[LNB]"People will talk about his age but his physical condition is fantastic. He can play for another three or four years."[LNB]
