Hreidarsson close to comeback
Portsmouth defender Hermann Hreidarsson is set to hand boss Paul Hart a huge boost by returning to full training at the end of the week following a foot injury.
The 35-year-old has not played this season due to the tendon problem but is closing in on a return to action to help the club's Barclays Premier League survival battle.
"Hermann just wants to play and to train and he's almost there, he's about 95% there and could possibly be back in full training by the end of the week," head physio Gary Sadler told www.portsmouthfc.co.uk.
Meanwhile, Hart has dismissed talk of moves for Edgar Davids, Amr Zaki or Algerian striker Raffik Djebbour.
"Edgar Davids? No, it's not true. I've never heard of Rafik Djebbour and there's no interest in Zaki. There never has been and there never will be," he told The Portsmouth News.
Pompey face Hull at the weekend looking to climb off the bottom of the table, with striker Aruna Dindane looking to atone for his open-goal miss against Tottenham and repay fans for their loyalty.
"The supporters are fantastic," he said. "Everything I do is for them, they feed you. Every player here does the best job they can for the club and for the supporters.
"I saw on Saturday that if I'm finding it difficult, then the supporters will give me energy and that is very important.
"This weekend's game is very important. We have played nine games and won only once, so we don't have time to wait to win another game.
"Hull is a very important, as is Wigan. Getting the maximum points is vital and I will do my best to do that."
