Hart wants clarification

Portsmouth manager Paul Hart is disappointed with reports claiming new owner Ali Al-Faraj is only looking to make a profit from the club. The Saudi business tycoon completed the takeover of the Fratton Park outfit in early October after buying 90 per cent of the club's shares, but recent comments have emerged suggesting he is not looking at a long-term stay. Hart has had a difficult time since he took over at Pompey, both on the pitch and with constant speculation off it, and said he would like to meet the new owner to discuss the future of the club. "It's disappointing, I think I have to say that," he said. "But not entirely unsurprising, because as over most of the summer, it's just another day. "I do believe that it will be sorted out and in the fullness of time perhaps the correct messages will be received by all, but yes, I agree it's disappointing. "But as always my job is to concentrate on the football side and that's what we'll try and do." MessageWhen asked if he wants one clear message to come from the new Pompey owner, Hart added: "I think so. I think that's a good point and I think one that we'd probably all welcome." Al-Faraj took control of the club after former owner Sulaiman Al-Fahim had been in charge for less than one month, and has previously refuted claims he is only in it to make a profit. "I didn't buy Portsmouth on a whim," he said. "I never intended to make a quick investment and get out. "This acquisition is entirely separate to my other businesses and I didn't purchase the club intent on having to justify my actions or fall under public scrutiny. "I'm an intensely private man and I don't feel comfortable in the spotlight."
