Hart - Wages delay only a hiccup

Portsmouth boss Paul Hart insists players not being paid owed wages for September is only a 'hiccup' and maintains his squad will continue to stick together. Pompey, who are struggling in the Premier League, confirmed on Thursday that playing staff and executive board members have not received due funds as new owner Sulaimain al Fahim refinances the club. The news comes as a latest saga in a troubled campaign for the Fratton Park club but, while he admits it is not ideal, Hart is adamant there are no major concerns on the issue. "It's a hiccup and a cash-flow problem. We explained to the players in a meeting we will receive the rest by tomorrow (Friday) - and the players are happy with that. They will get on with their jobs," he said. Interesting day "You put one fire out and another starts up in the corner. That's how it has been in my tenure as manager. "But you can spit your dummy out and throw your toys out of the pram, or take it as another fire, put it out and get going again. "It has been a particularly interesting day from about 8.30 this morning - nothing I can tell you about. "But you have choices. You either stick together and get through it or stamp your feet."
