Hart - Survival in our hands

Paul Hart is not concerned by the fortunes of Portsmouth's relegation rivals because the Fratton Park club have survival 'in their own hands'. This season's battle to stay in the Premier League looks set to be the most tense in the history of the division, with a host of teams looking nervously over their shoulder. Ahead of Saturday's crucial trip to rivals Middlesbrough, Portsmouth have joined their weekend hosts in the bottom three following Blackburn's win over Fulham on Wednesday. But caretaker boss Hart - who took up his position following Tony Adams' sacking at the start of February - is refusing to panic as his side are only separated from safety by goal difference and hold a game in hand over all of their fellow strugglers. "You have to deal with facts. You are there," he told Sky Sports News. "You can't dismiss this situation, which we haven't done since we came in. "Our results have been excellent. We have got four points from three games, three very difficult games, and we arguably could have had all nine. "So the performances are good and I think we have got to dwell on what we are doing. What other people do is nothing to do with us. It is in our hands."
