Hart refusing to give up

// A bit of a hack but it works// The article snippet is wrapped onto a second line, even when #article-sub is emptyif( $("div#article-sub").children().length == 0 ) {$("div#article-sub").remove();} Paul Hart insists he will not be walking away from the challenges which lie ahead at Portsmouth.[LNB] The South Coast outfit suffered another demoralising setback on Saturday as they slipped to a 1-0 defeat against Everton.[LNB]Pompey have now lost all seven of their Premier League fixtures this season, a run which leaves them rooted to the foot of the table.[LNB]A summer of upheaval at Fratton Park has had a detrimental effect on performances, with a distracting takeover saga and numerous departures leaving the club in a difficult position.[LNB]Hart, who has the unenviable task of trying to piece Pompey back together, admits that he is currently paying the price for events during pre-season which were out of his hands.[LNB]"I can't put into words what it was like watching player after player leave," he said in the Sunday Times.[LNB]"Crouchie (Peter Crouch), Glen Johnson, one of the best players I've ever worked with, (Sol) Campbell, even with that lot it was damned hard work last season.[LNB]Concerns"I've spent more time talking to senior players across this desk than you would care to know.[LNB]"Take Sylvain (Distin). He looked at us with 14 players and he's got concerns. I can't knock him for that. But getting players in has been difficult because we have no money.[LNB]"It's time people realised that the players who have come in haven't cost us a bean. We're not in a position to pay money. That's it."[LNB]Despite having his hands tied financially, Hart is adamant that he will not be turning his back on Pompey as the pressure continues to mount.[LNB]He admits that he had offers from elsewhere over the summer to consider, but insists he never had any intention of quitting Fratton Park.[LNB]"I'm not new at the club and I don't like to leave things unfinished," he said.[LNB]"So I decided to stay."[LNB]
