Hart: James didn't want out
Paul Hart has denied that goalkeeper David James wanted to quit the club.[LNB]James remains on the books at Fratton Park despite interest from Tottenham prior to the transfer deadline.[LNB]Speculation suggested that James had become disillusioned after seeing a succession of players leave the club but Hart is confident the 39-year-old's mind will be fully focused on Pompey.[LNB]"I don't think there's any question about David," said Hart. "He's a good professional. At no time has David come to me and said he wants to leave.[LNB]"Any football club only needs players that want to be here. He is here and he wants to be here.[LNB]"There was a lot of speculation - it happens all the time and who's to say that there's no truth in speculation? But he's happy to be here, he's getting his head down and hopefully we can get him back in the team quickly."
