Hart hopeful over Kranjcar
Portsmouth manager Paul Hart is hopeful that Niko Kranjcar will be able to play again this season.
The Croatian star was stretchered off during Pompey's weekend win over Bolton with an ankle injury.
Initial fears were that the talented midfielder would not play again this season.
However, Hart has revealed that hopes are high that Kranjcar will still have a part to play this season.
"There is a massive improvement today [in Kranjcar]," Hart told Sky Sports News.
"He is a quick healer so we are hopeful, he is going for a scan today to get the level of the damage.
"But today he came in much better - we hope [he will play again this season], I think that is his goal and we would be absolutely delighted."
Hart was still in buoyant mood following the 1-0 win over Bolton which moved Portsmouth six points clear of the relegation zone.
"I thought the performance was excellent, especially in the first half," he continued.
"I thought our big players came up and delivered and I think we deserved the win.
"I think if we had that performance every week during the season we would be qualifying for Europe."
But Hart insisted Portsmouth are not yet out of trouble, saying: "It is a fool who thinks it is over on 37 points.
"Our job is to maintain this level of performance and the minute we take our foot off the pedal we might be in a bit of bother."
