Hart hails Pompey spirit

Portsmouth boss Paul Hart praised his players' spirit and unity after they finally won in the Premier League this season against Wolves. Hassan Yebda's 19th-minute header snapped a seven-match losing streak for the South Coast club as they picked up their first points of the campaign. And Hart told Sky Sports: It's there for everybody to see and we've waited a long time for it. I think our performances over the last few weeks have got us those points today. "We showed great courage in difficult situations and I will say this - I think we deserved the points." Hart was keen to praise the travelling fans for their support, not just in Saturday's win but during the turbulent start to Pompey's season. He added: "They (the fans) are tremendous and they deserve that as well and I think they saw the unity that the players have and the spirit. "It's one win and we've got to build on that and start climbing the table." Hart, who confirmed the players will be paid next Monday following the news that the first-team squad and board members did not receive September's wages, expects the financial fiasco at the club to be addressed soon. "I think we'll have some good news in the next few days," Hart confirmed.
