Hart - Goals will come

19 August 2009 08:50
Paul Hart insists there are goals in his Portsmouth side despite firing blanks in their season-opener against Fulham. Hart went with debutant Frederic Piquionne and John Utaka up front against The Cottagers. Kanu and David Nugent came on late, but were unable to prevent the South Coast side slipping to a 1-0 defeat. Pompey's attack has been decimated in 2009 with Jermain Defoe and then Peter Crouch being sold on to service debts this summer. Although Pompey claimed no points from the game Hart is taking positives from the contest and insists his side will score goals. Positives"I thought we played okay against Fulham and I thought there were a lot of positives to be taken," said Hart. "The criticism that could be levelled at us is that we didn't hit the target from 15 attempts. "That's a concern because I thought we got in positions for chances and half chances and didn't finish them off. "You have to look on the positive side and say that we got there and created things. I think we have people who can score goals."
