Hart does not fear sack

Portsmouth boss Paul Hart insists he will not be concerning himself with fears over his future. The former Nottingham Forest chief was handed the reins at Fratton Park on a full-time basis over the summer after impressing in an interim role last term. He has, however, overseen a disastrous start to the 2009/10 campaign which has seen Pompey go pointless through their opening five games. Hart is now the clear favourite to be the first Premier League manager to lose his job, but he claims he is not worried about what new owner Sulaiman Al Fahim may have in store for him. "I'm not concerned," he told The News. "That doesn't mean I don't value my job, though. "It's not because there are people saying I'm going to be here all year, either. "It's because that is something I can't afford to be worried about. I have more important things to deal with." Hart accepts that Portsmouth's slow start has been far from ideal, but insists he will be doing his utmost to bring about a reversal in fortune over the coming weeks. "It's not pleasant, but you can't argue with the situation we are in," he added. "There might be reasons for the position we are in, like having 14 players at the start of the season. "But it's not for me to plead my case, I just get on with my job."
