Hart belief in Pompey

Portsmouth boss Paul Hart thinks his side are showing the right attitude to keep themselves up this season. Hart feels his Pompey players have found a more professional streak in their last four games, which has seen them earn five points in doing the 'nasty' things well. Despite sitting just above the bottom-three, Hart remains confident Pompey are showing the right qualities to beat the drop. "Whoever you play at this stage of the season and whoever you are - even Manchester United - it's rough and tumble and I don't think the quality of football comes into it," Hart told The News. "It's all about sticking your head on it and doing the nasty bits. "I think you've seen, if you've watched us over the last three or four games, we've been prepared to do the nasty things. "I think we have shown our desire and determination to stay in this division - there is great pride here among these players, many of them internationals. "David James was absolutely magnificent against Middlesbrough and he's a key figure - but we've got a lot of key figures who will stand up and be counted and that's what we are going to do. "Against Middlesbrough there were two teams fighting for their lives and we certainly got in there. "I thought we handled it pretty well for most of the match. "I had to fight as a footballer, so it's not as though you are not used to it."
