Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp has revealed he intends to further bolster his squad following the £11million capture of Peter Crouch.
The south coast club completed the signing of the England striker from Liverpool on Friday, but Redknapp does not see Crouch's arrival as the end of the summer spending.
Pompey have been linked with a host of players from their Premier League rivals throughout the close season with Chelsea's Shaun-Wright Phillips and unsettled Spurs defender Younes Kaboul both rumoured to be on Redknapp's shopping list.
"We are always looking to improve and we will see where we go - we keep looking around," he revealed.
"If you are competing in the UEFA Cup as well, there are a lot of matches. We need strength in depth.
"You can end up playing every Thursday and Sunday and players are going to get injured or need a rest at some stage.
"There are a few positions we need strengthening and (chief executive) Peter (Storrie) will be seeing what we can do."
