Portsmouth goalkeeper David James deserves a recall to the England set-up according to Pompey boss Harry Redknapp.
The 36-year-old has been in superlative form since his switch from Manchester City in the summer, with James again excelling in the 2-1 defeat at Chelsea at the weekend.
Redknapp stated: "David James is in amazing form. I can't believe him sometimes, he is like an 18-year-old in training. He should definitely be back in the England squad.
"I think he should be knocking on the door. Paul Robinson is a good goalkeeper, but the other lads are all out on loan.
"They're not getting games at Liverpool or wherever else they are.
"This fella is still a top goalkeeper in my opinion and he'll play for another five or six years, he's so fit.
"However, I don't think he will get back. I get the feeling they have moved on a bit.
"They are looking to show they are building their own team now and he doesn't seem to be part of that."
