Portsmouth boss Harry Redknapp hailed Peter Crouch after the former Liverpool striker scored a sublime volleyed goal in Sunday's 2-1 victory against Stoke City.
Crouch netted with a flying bicycle kick after Jermain Defoe had crossed the ball in from the right as Pompey built on last weekend's win against Tottenham to move up to seventh in the table.
Redknapp said: "It was a great finish from Crouchie, a great technique, great volley.
"I spoke to him the other day in training - the balls were coming in and he was hitting volleys fantastic.
"He gets his body position right, gets his knee over the ball and it's terrific.
"Some people don't know how to volley a ball, they don't get their body position right and if you don't do that it goes up in the air all the time.
"It's important you drop your shoulder, get your knee over and that's what he does."
