Grant plans to remind friend Fabio that injured James is still England's No 1

Avram Grant intends to remind England coach Fabio Capello that David James is still the best goalkeeper in the country, despite the injured Portsmouth star playing in only one out of the last seven games for the Premier League strugglers. [LNB]No doubt: Despite his injury troubles, Avram Grant insists David James is still England's No 1 'keeper[LNB]James, 39, has been blighted with injury problems this season and is currently sidelined through a calf strain, throwing his 2010 World Cup prospects into jeopardy. [LNB]The ex-Liverpool, Aston Villa and West Ham shot-stopper was last seen in action during the 1-1 draw against Sunderland at the Stadium of Light nearly a fortnight ago.[LNB]But the new Fratton Park boss has no doubt that the reported Tottenham Hotspur target should be England's first choice custodian at next summer's finals in South Africa and will tell his close Italian friend exactly that when the pair meet up this week.
