Former Tottenham defender Ramon Vega spurred on for Portsmouth bid

Ramon Vega, the former Tottenham[LNB]and Switzerland defender, could be the new owner of Portsmouth[LNB]by the end of this week. [LNB]Vega, 37, who has interests in building companies and investment firms, has emerged as a leading contender to buy from current owner Alexandre Gaydamak. [LNB]The Portsmouth hierarchy met Vega on two separate occasions in recent weeks.
