Finnan experience crucial - Hart
Paul Hart believes the arrival of Steve Finnan will provide Portsmouth with a calming influence in defence.
Experienced Barclays Premier League man Finnan made his debut in the win over Wolves which also saw Hart's team record their first clean sheet of the campaign.
The former Liverpool man is expected to keep his place for the visit of Spurs this weekend as Portsmouth look to continue their revival.
"Against Wolves you saw the calmness and the reassurance Steve gives to the back four and his experience," said Hart.
"I thought he was faultless and what we forget about the players we bring in, from France, Belgium, whatever, the Premier League is a million miles away."
