FC Basle hoping Portsmouth defender Campbell will go Swiss
FC Basle hope to convince Portsmouth defender Sol Campbell his future lies in Switzerland this week.
The Swiss side have already made one inquiry for the 34-year-old but were convinced he was going to Trabzonspor in Turkey. However, Campbell rejected that idea and Basle are willing to offer the former England international a three-year deal.
Meanwhile, Campbell's Portsmouth team-mate Hermann Hreidarsson isinterested in joining Rangers.
The 34-year-old is out of contract andsaid: 'Rangers would be a good club for any player to move to,especially when they have the Champions League coming up next season.'
