Aruna Dindane insists he is ready to join Portsmouth's Premier League battle. Dindane joined Pompey on a season-long loan from Lens with a view to permanent deal. The Ivorian international managed just a dozen games last season before a knee injury curtailed his campaign. He is now building back to full fitness and although manager Paul Hart said he did not want to rush him, Dindane is confident he will soon be involved. "People are worrying as I have not played so far," he told skysports.com. "But the season is long and I am getting sharp. I have a special program and to be honest I am feeling fine, I am almost ready to play. "Mr Hart wants me to be properly ready and I am well. Hopefully I will join the first team next week. "I can't wait to start playing and I thank the Portsmouth board for giving me the opportunity to play in the best league in the world." Dindane also admits he has one eye on a World Cup place with Ivory Coast, but insists he first needs to prove his worth at Fratton Park. "Hopefully with my performances, I will get back to the national team and be part again of the group," he said. "The World Cup is coming at the end of the season, but I want to have a great season with Pompey. Make sure the team stay in the Premier League, then I can have a great World Cup."
