Dindane - more goals to come

Portsmouth striker Aruna Dindane has vowed to score more goals for the club when he regains full fitness. The 28-year-old joined Pompey on-loan from French side Lens in the summer but has struggled with his fitness since the move. The Ivorian scored on his debut in the Carling Cup against Carlisle last month but has so far failed to hit the target in the Premier League as Portsmouth lie bottom of the table. However, Dindane insists he feels stronger after each appearance and is nearing full fitness, with goals next on his agenda. "I've been working hard in training to try to catch up with the other players and I'm feeling better in every game I play," he told the club's official website. "I was happy to score in my first match but there is still more for me to do. "I've come here to score goals and I need to keep working hard in training and on the pitch in order to do that." After losing their first seven games of the league campaign, Pompey got off the mark with a win at Wolves before the international break. The win, combined with the club's takeover saga finally being completed, has given the club renewed optimism but Dindane insists they can not rest on their laurels. He said: "Confidence is a lot higher after winning the last match. Now we feel we can keep improving and start climbing the table. "We can't just rest on that one victory. We need more wins and more points if we are to get clear of danger. "I'm sure we will stay up. If I wasn't confident that we can do that then I wouldn't have signed for this club."
