Dickinson playing through pain barrier

Portsmouth defender Carl Dickinson is to continue playing through the pain of a knee problem. The on-loan Stoke full-back was a surprise inclusion on the bench in Saturday's 1-1 draw with Derby, barely 48 hours after boss Steve Cotterill revealed he needed surgery. "Carl has been to see Stoke's surgeon," revealed Cotterill. "We think, at some stage, there may be something that needs to be done. But, in the meantime, the surgeon doesn't want to touch the knee, so we'll wait and see."
