Diarra still unsure over future

Portsmouth midfielder Lassana Diarra has revealed his proposed £20million transfer to Real Madrid is yet to be finalised.

Diarra, 23, was allowed to travel to Spain for talks with the La Liga champions earlier in the week after Pompey boss Tony Adams accepted an "exceptional offer" for the France midfielder.

However, reports suggest that Manchester City are keen to hijack the deal and sign the former Chelsea and Arsenal midfielder in January.

In the meantime, Diarra remains in the dark about where he will be playing in the new year.

"I cannot talk. I don't want to. They are calling me from England and France, but I will talk inside a few days," he said.

"I will not say anything. Football is complicated and anything could happen. I will talk inside a few days, now I cannot say anything.

"I hope my future will be settled in the next few days, soon. This is the only thing I can say."
