Davis - Future can wait
Sean Davis insists Portsmouth's fortunes in the battle to avoid Premier League relegation come before his personal future.
The midfielder is out of contract at the end of the season and is rumoured to be on the radar of Wigan Athletic but he is refusing to lose focus.
Pompey are involved in a fierce fight to secure their top-flight status and travel to fellow strugglers Blackburn Rovers on Saturday.
And despite the rumours surrounding his career, Davis is adamant that he is only concentrating on helping his current club beat the drop.
The 29-year-old said: "There are a few players - including myself - who
are out of contract at the end of the season, but we will worry about that at the end of the season.
Challenge
"At the moment it is all about making sure everything is right on the pitch. There will be time to sort out our futures in the summer.
"Once you get on the pitch you forget about things like that, you just want to do your best and fight for the cause - you have to approach the game in the same way you would if you had a three or four-year contract.
"You do not want to go onto the pitch and lose because it makes you look bad.
"Even if players were looking to move at the end of the season - which I do not think many here are - then you are not going to impress anyone by shirking challenges or playing half-heatedly."
Davies has also pledged his support to Pompey's caretaker management team of Paul Hart and Brian Kidd.
He added: "The players are all behind Paul Hart and Brian Kidd, so we are confident that we can get the results we need to stay in the Premier League, then we can rebuild and start to push on and progress like we have done over the last few years."
