Crystal Palace unveil Hart as their new boss with Freedman on his way

Crystal Palace legend Dougie Freedman has made a sensational return to Crystal Palace as new boss Paul Hart's assistant. [LNB]Hart was unveiled as Eagles manager, replacing Neil Warnock who left for QPR last night. [LNB]And the former Portsmouth chief will bring fans' favourite Freedman, who is currently at Southend, with him as well as former Eagles star John Pemberton, who will be first team coach. [LNB]And the south Londoners have moved quickly to replace the Yorkshireman and are expected to appoint Hart imminently. [LNB]WhoHart will bring in for the rest of his backroom staff still has to beironed out but once those issues are concluded, Palace hope to name theformer Pompey chief as their new manager at some point today. [LNB]Warnock'smove to Loftus Road yesterday brought an end to one of the worst keptsecrets in the Championship after weeks of speculation linking theformer Sheffield United boss with the role Hart vacated in January.[LNB]Palace administrator Brendan Guilfoyle said: 'It is with great disappointment I have to confirm Neil Warnock, Keith Curle and Mick Jones have left Crystal Palace FC to join QPR.[LNB]'I can assure all members of the Red and Blue Army as well as all of the club's stakeholders I did everything I could to persuade Neil to stay.[LNB]'However, further to an approach from QPR, Neil expressed his desire to leave and explained his focus was no longer on securing the club's status in the Championship. At this point, along with my legal advisors DLA Piper a compensation package was agreed with QPR.'[LNB]Hart spent just 28 days in charge of the west London club after replacing axed Jim Magilton in December.
