Portsmouth striker Peter Crouch has been linked with a move to Bundesliga Champions VFL Wolfsburg. The 28-year-old England international is rumoured to be considering a move to Germany having been sighted at a concert close to the VFL Stadion. With Portsmouth still in the process of a big-money takeover, Crouch's future is hanging in the balance. Asked about a possible move, Wolfsburg executive Jurgen Marbach confessed the club were looking to bolster their attacking options but refused to name any targeted players. "We are in touch with a couple of strikers and I will certainly not make any comment on names," he told German newspaper Braunshweiger Zeitung." Crouch recently upset a key figure in the Fratton Park hierarchy when stating he wants 'reassurances' amid the uncertainty surrounding the club's takeover. His agent Jonathan Barnett admitted that, under the circumstances, a move to Germany was a definite possibility. He said: "This emerges to me as an interesting option for the future of Peter Crouch."
