Crouch - Experience will help

Peter Crouch is confident Portsmouth can claw their way to Premier League safety this season.[LNB] Pompey moved out of the relegation zone on Saturday as a 1-1 draw away at Middlesbrough helped to ease them above Stoke.[LNB]They now have nine games in which to accumulate enough points to ensure that they are not dragged back into the bottom three.[LNB]England international Crouch believes the South Coast club can negotiate their way out of trouble, but admits the basement battle could go right down to the wire.[LNB]"It is incredibly tight at the bottom. Even a point has moved us out of the bottom three and three would have put us right out of there," said the Pompey striker.[LNB]"It will be tight, but we have home games against out rivals so it is in our hands.[LNB]"This relegation battle will be one the most intriguing for years and one of the most exciting things about the Premier League is that while usually there are only four or five who could go down, this time you could argue it is right up there to 10th and 11th.[LNB]"It will be great for the fans but no good for us. We have a great deal of experience in our squad. We have players who have stayed up on the final day and hopefully that will tell.[LNB]"That can get us out of the relegation picture."[LNB]
