Cotterill to bide time with Hermann

Portsmouth manager Steve Cotterill will not rush fit-again Hermann Hreidarsson back into his side. The Iceland international made his comeback from a lengthy absence with an Achilles injury as a late substitute against Hull last weekend. Pompey have kept only two clean sheets so far this season but Cotterill refuses to push the experienced defender too hard. He told the News: "Does Hermann come straight in and play in the back four? "I would need to see how he comes back from the injury but I don't think he is quite ready yet. "If it's the Hermann of old, then for sure - he will have a place."
