Portsmouth manager Steve Cotterill is hoping the floodgates have opened for Dave Kitson after his goal at the weekend.
The former Reading striker found the net for the first time in two months as Pompey secured three points with a 2-0 win at Norwich.
Cotterill said: "Dave Kitson needed a goal. He's had a lean period, and as a goalscorer that drags you down. Hopefully that goal will be give him a real lift.
"Any team wants their strikers scoring goals and for a little while he's had a bit of a bad spell, so we're delighted for him. Once David Nugent's cross came over for him I knew he would score.
"And after the goal everything about his game was better, which shows scoring has already had a positive effect."
