Portsmouth manager Steve Cotterill has vowed to guide the struggling club off the foot of the Championship table.[LNB] Pompey have taken just two points from their first seven games this season, but Cotterill has seen a vast improvement in their performances and is confident their results will soon improve.[LNB]"The league is very much in its infancy," said the Fratton Park boss. "There's a lot of football to be played.[LNB]"I think the teams down the bottom will not be down there come the end of the season, and might not be down there come Christmas.[LNB]"The league table is going to change a lot and if we carry on the performances we have dished up in the last week, and be a little bit tougher in certain areas, our position will change as well."
