Cotterill admits to lack of confidence

Portsmouth manager Steve Cotterill is expecting a "rocky ride" for his club between now and the end of the season. Pompey are without a win in 10 games following Saturday's 1-1 draw against Derby and are just five points above the drop zone. "We need a couple of goals to go in off players' backsides to lift our confidence, because when you haven't won for a while, it plays on your mind," said Cotterill. "We try to build confidence every day of the week. Confidence can take weeks and months to build, but you can lose it in hours. I'm always telling them what good players they are, but they have just lost it a little bit at the moment. "I think it's going to be a bit of a rocky ride all the way through to May. We've just got to make the most of our up times."
