Chelsea 200/1 for an 8-0 repeat

TEAMtalk's Matty Briggs looks ahead to the FA Cup final and suspects goal-hungry Chelsea could just be poised to re-write the history books.[LNB] The Blues battered Wigan 8-0 en route to the Premier League title last week and Portsmouth will have few friends ahead of Saturday's Wembley tussle.[LNB]In fact I can't remember an FA Cup final being less appealing...apart from last year and the year before![LNB]Every football-savvy punter knows that Chelsea, who are football odds of 1/5, will seal the second part of a domestic Double and it's just a case of by how many.[LNB]And that's where the fun could start.[LNB]You have to go back to 1903 to find the record-winning margin in the FA Cup final. That was Bury's 6-0 mauling of Derby - a well-deserved scoreline according to one of TEAMtalk's longer-serving hacks, but Saturday might just see that record smashed![LNB]It's top against bottom and Chelsea really have hit the goal trail this season with 7-1, 7-0, and 7-2 victories as well as their 8-0 demolition of shambolic Wigan. Carlo Ancelotti's men also destroyed Pompey 5-0 earlier in the season and a repeat of that scoreline is a 20/1 shot. But I'm going to be more extravagant and edge my FA Cup bets with a 6-0 (50/1), 7-0 (80/1) and 8-0 (200/1) set of scorelines to add some much-needed interest to the clash.[LNB]Another speculative punt could also be to back both Pompey's Aaron Mokoena (9/1) and Michael Brown (8/1) to receive the first yellow card of the game.[LNB]Mokoena is a clumsy oaf with seven yellows in his 24 league starts, while Brown (6) won't let the showpiece event stop his normal game of lumping everyone in sight. It's no surprise the combative midfielder is 24th on the list of players conceding most fouls with 55 and if you assume Pompey will be the team to receive a booking first, due to the fact they've received 14 more bookings than Chelsea, then one of the specified duo look most liable.[LNB]Portsmouth should be on the backfoot from the off and either a mis-timed challenge from Brown or Mokoena being caught out for pace should do the trick to return the dough.
