Category B Prices Reduced

17 games now priced at £25 with admin fees now going to charity. Pompey's new owners have shown that they listen to fans after introducing a price reduction for the 17 category B fixtures at Fratton Park this season. In addition to this, they have frozen prices on season tickets until the end of July instead of hiking them up as originally planned by the previous owners. Early bird season ticket holders can now get an extra 10% off their season ticket price if they introduce a friend as a new season ticket holder, who will also get 10% off their price. Also, the £2 administration fee being charged for people who buy on the day will now be split 50/50 between the Pompey Sports and Education Foundation and the charity chosen on matchday. I'm happy that the new owners have listened to the feedback received at the latest supporters' conference and have taken action by reducing matchday prices. I think £25 is still pricey for a Championship game of football but it's a start, especially as it wasn't long ago that the club were charging £38 to see Pompey host the likes of Bolton and Wigan! Hopefully this is a small step to more positive changes in the future and more fans who have felt disgruntled with the way Portsmouth FC has been run in recent years can be tempted back to Fratton Park.
