Brown disappointed at Pompey showing

Portsmouth midfielder Michael Brown has admitted his team did not do enough to get a result against Barnsley at the weekend, but insists Pompey can turn things around and get back in the hunt for a play-off place. The 1-0 defeat at Barnsley stretched their winless run to four games and but Brown is confident that Pompey can rediscover the fine form that saw them move to just outside the play-offs a week ago. He told the club`s official website: "We didn't put as much pressure on Barnsley's goal as we would have liked. They didn't exactly pepper our goal but we never really looked like scoring. "We were going from back to front pretty quickly and maybe just an extra pass in midfield would have created something. There were some bits of the game we did well in but we didn't do that enough. We kept going until the end but it was a disappointing afternoon. "We had a fantastic run a few weeks ago and turned things around. Now we've had a disappointing couple of weeks. But we've got to bounce back. "We've got a tough game at Swansea next and it's important to get three points to get back in the hunt. The division is so tight, but we need to start getting some wins. We can't afford to keep losing. We don't underestimate the Championship. We all know what it's about and we need to make sure we start collecting some points."
