Brendan Rodgers and Steve Cotterill in the running to replace Avram Grant at Portsmouth

Portsmouth administrator Andrew Andronikou has revealed that Brendan Rodgers and Steve Cotterill are among candidates for their vacant managerial post. [LNB]Rodgers also has an offer to join the coaching staff at Manchester City but Andronikou said: 'We've had half a dozen come forward so far. Brendan Rodgers is a name that has been recommended to us by a third party. He is definitely in and around our thoughts. [LNB] In the running: Rodgers and Cotterill are candidates for the Portsmouth job [LNB] 'Steve Cotterill is another one. But I can say (first-team coach)Paul Groves has not thrown his hat into the ring - and nor do I expecthim to.'
