Boateng in wrangle with Pompey

Kevin-Prince Boateng is in a stand-off with Portsmouth over his future club after setting his sights on joining Genoa in Italy's Serie A.[LNB] The Ghana midfielder, who enhanced his reputation in the World Cup, wants to sign for Genoa but Lazio are offering Portsmouth significantly more money, according to the club's administrator.[LNB]Stoke, Everton, Rangers and West Ham have also been linked with the 23-year-old but it looks as though he will be heading to Italy.[LNB]Portsmouth's administrator Andrew Andronikou said: "I'm discussing with Kevin his position and he will be leaving the club - but it's just a matter of time and how much we get for him.[LNB]"His representatives are trying to put pressure on us to accept far less money than he is worth.[LNB]"He wants to go to Genoa but we have a much higher offer from Lazio and we are trying to bridge the two and the sooner we can move it on the better."[LNB]
