Boateng completes double switch

AC Milan have signed former Portsmouth midfielder Kevin-Prince Boateng on loan from Genoa with a view to buying him outright next summer.[LNB] Boateng only signed for Genoa this afternoon from Portsmouth with the deal already in place to send him straight on to Milanello, where the 23-year-old had held talks with the Italian clubs.[LNB]The Germany-born Ghana international, who impressed at the World Cup, joins until the end of the forthcoming campaign with the Serie A giants having negotiated an option to take him permanently in a year's time.[LNB]Boateng's move to Genoa was officially confirmed today on the Portsmouth website, with chief executive David Lampitt saying: "We wish Kevin all the best. He played an important role last season and we thank him for that."[LNB]Milan were impressed with Boateng's performances at the World Cup while Genoa could then make a healthy profit if he does well at the San Siro.
