Birmingham v PORTSMOUTH: New boy Anthony Vanden Borre plays waiting game for Pompey

18 August 2009 14:11
Anthony Vanden Borre is still waiting for international clearance to make his Portsmouth debut ahead of the Barclays Premier League trip to Birmingham. Manager Paul Hart could draft the Belgian right-back, who is on a season-long loan at Fratton Park, into his side provided Portsmouth get the green light no later than two hours before kick-off at St Andrew's.   Steve Finnan and Herman Hreidarsson are recovering from hamstring problems, but Hart has no fresh injury worries following last Saturday's home defeat to Fulham.   Team (from): James, Primus, Kaboul, Mokoena, Mullins, Diop, Nugent, Distin, Utaka, Kranjcar, Kanu, Ashdown, Hughes, Begovic, Basinas, Wilson, Belhadj, Vanden Borre, Piquionne, Niemi.
