Portsmouth manager Harry Redknapp has praised the efforts of striker Benjani Mwaruwari since he moved to Fratton Park in January 2006.
The 28-year-old Zimbabwe international has netted only six times in 46 appearances for Pompey, but Redknapp is more than impressed with his player's all-round contribution to the cause.
He told the club's official website: "You know what you are going to get from Benjani - running in the channels and high work-rate, he has been terrific.
"Without him we wouldn't even be in the Premiership. His work-rate and effort was one of the things that kept us there last season.
"The fans here love him and have always been right behind him because they can see he gives so much."
