Portsmouth are set to offer in-form striker Benjani Mwaruwari a new contract following his explosive start to the new season.
The 29-year-old Zimbabwe international has already bagged eight goals this term, with his current deal at Fratton Park set to run out at the end of next season.
Pompey boss Harry Redknapp told The News: "Benjani's going nowhere. He's a big player for us, an important one.
"(Chief executive) Peter Storrie is going to sit down with him and start talking about another contract.
"He's come so far for us and it's great to see him scoring goals. It's good to see him getting his reward for how he's been playing.
"He's full of confidence at the moment and it's brilliant to see. He's on fire at the moment, nothing can stop him.
"It's good that people are talking about Benji and they are saying clubs are interested in him. It shows you how well he's doing. The fact is he's enjoying it here and we're not selling him."
