Sulaiman Al Fahim's takeover group have plans in place to make sure Portsmouth will have a strong squad heading into the new season, according to his personal aide. With the proposed £60million purchase of the Fratton Park club still being processed, issues such as a permanent manager - with Italian Roberto Mancini said to be top of the short list - and securing additional players have yet to be resolved. But with Paul Hart - officially the club's director of youth operations - in charge of the start of pre-season training before a two-match tour to Portugal, things are slowly moving in the right direction. Al Fahim's adviser Ivo Ilic Gabara has reassured Pompey supporters the new regime will not waste any time once the official takeover has been completed - with executive chairman Peter Storrie ready to move for new players as soon as the ink is dry.
