New Portsmouth owner Sulaiman Al Fahim has pledged that cash will be made available for strengthening in the January transfer window. Paul Hart's side currently sit rock bottom in the top flight with no points from their opening five games. If results continue to go against the club, the Pompey manager will surely need to strengthen but reports claim that chief executive Peter Storrie has told fans that he is unsure when funds will be made available. But Al Fahim insists money will be available for Hart to strengthen in the transfer window. New moneyHe told Bloomberg: "Hopefully by the end of this month there's new money coming in from my personal finances. "I will meet my manager, Paul Hart, on November 21 and sit down and see which kind of players he needs. By January we will have more money coming in for the players." The new Pompey owner also says he intends to treat the club as a business. "I'm not in this just to lose money," he said. "I like competition, I like to be a winner and I want to show with this club you can make money." Storrie backing Al Fahim also gave his backing to Storrie after the chief executive led a rival consortium that failed in a bid to take control at Fratton Park. He said: "Peter Storrie is a good CEO and he's been with the club for the last seven years. "Keeping him is better for the club."
