Administrator remaining upbeat
04 Mar 2010 - 09:28:52
Portsmouth's administrator believes interested parties will need at least £30million to buy the crisis-torn club.
Pompey became the first Premier League club to enter administration last week and the future of the Fratton Park outfit remains uncertain.
Earlier this week they were ordered back to the High Court after Her Majesty's Revenue and Customs challenged the club's decision to go into voluntary administration.
But despite the uncertainty, administrator Andrew Andronikou is upbeat about the future of the Premier League's bottom club.
"I think buyers will need in excess of £30million to buy the club," he told BBC Sport.
"It's a good opportunity to buy a club with a great history and I really want to focus on finding the right buyer.
"The Premier League have offered their hand and I'm very comfortable that the club will be starting next season."
Pompey are likely to start next season in the Championship when they slip further off the pace at the foot of the table with an automatic nine-point penalty for going into administration.
