Adams looking long-term

Newly-installed Portsmouth manager Tony Adams has brushed off reports that a change in ownership at Fratton Park could lead to his swift departure.
The former Arsenal and England defender was handed the managerial reins at the south coast club last month following Harry Redknapp's departure to Spurs.
On Tuesday, Adams appointed former Nottingham Forest and Tottenham defender John Metgod as his new assistant, while former reserve-team boss Paul Groves has also been handed a role with the first team.
However, reports continue to suggest owner Alexandre Gaydamak is seeking to sell the club, with the latest speculation surrounding the possibility of a buy-out from a South African consortium.
The same reports also suggest that any new owners could look to appoint their own manager, which would leave Adams out in the cold after just a handful of matches.
But Adams has brushed off the suggestions after claiming he plans to be in the Fratton Park hot-seat for a lengthy period.
"I'm planning on being at this football club for a long time - and the people here have given me no reason to think otherwise," he said.
"If I am given time I am sure I will be able to. I have confidence in my ability to be able to do that."
